My Summer TBR List

divider3I’ve been trying to sort hosting out since yesterday and have been putting reading aside in favour of playing Runescape, so I haven’t got a book review for this week! I decided to write up my summer reading list instead so I can maybe get back on track. But the thing is, my TBR list is freaking ginormous; it could probably wrap itself around the world multiple times. I may even be able to walk on the damn list as a bridge to the sun (anything is possible, okay?)

I usually like making summer reading lists, even though I hardly ever complete one because ‘side-track’ is my middle name. So, for the sake of tradition, here’s a summer reading list I’m probably not going to complete (but will try to). Link me your TBR lists in the comments so I can check them out!

Flamecaster by Cinda W. Chima

A 4.11-star fantasy book on Goodreads with promising reviews and a gripping storyline. Yes, please.

Outrun the Moon by Stacey Lee

I pre-ordered Outrun the Moon because the description sounded so good and the cover looks GORGEOUS.

 Lady Midnight by Cassandra Clare

Lady Midnight will be my first venture into Clare’s writing, I look forward to it and might even give The Mortal Instruments a try if I like it enough.

Those Above by Daniel Polansky

Those Above hasn’t had great reviews but I’m intrigued and a part of me hopes I’ll love it.

The Cursed Child by J.K. Rowling

I pre-ordered The Cursed Child as soon as it was announced. Cannot wait to get this through the post!

The Paper Magician by Charlie N. Holmberg

I gave The Paper Magician audiobook a try, it was narrated by Amy McFadden, and it was terrible (it went in my DNF pile). A friend told me that was just an issue with the narration and that the story is really good, so I’m going to try reading it this time to see if I like it!

Every Heart a Doorway by Seanan McGuire

One of my absolute favourite BookTubers, Emily May, sold me on this one from her Goodreads review. She gave it five stars. We have very similar taste, so I look forward to seeing how good this is for myself!

Eeny Meeny by M.J. Arlidge

really wanted to give the audiobook for Eeny Meeny a try because it had great reviews but I’m such a wimp, and I hate scary books/movies that make me jump (but I read them anyway sometimes.) Eeny Meeny has piqued my interest so I’ll play it safe and try reading it instead!

Wild Swans by Jung Chang

Three different people have asked me to read this book now. I’ll do it someday!

By the way, I tweeted some wallpaper freebies yesterday because I like to waste time writing stuff in pretty fonts. You can grab them off my Twitter @SugarQuillsUK 🙂
